The team at Knibbe was great! Very dedicated on finding the solution for the vehicles problems. Good communication and very friendly, especial kudos here for Peter. All the issues that were found on… my vehicle were explained clearly and repair options presented. Upon pickup of the vehicle the old broken parts were showed. After the major repairs were done, few other little things popped out and when I contacted them, they got my truck in asap to make sure I was completely satisfied. Not only they did what we agree upon, but also did a few extra checks, cleaning of brace for the transfer case and replaced a burned signal bulb! A trusted shop for both my partner’s family and for me (one of two in the city I’ve found to be up front about every charge as well as make reasonable recommendations). Honest, patient repair people… who do good work for a fair price. We’ve had a radiator replaced among other work done with zero issues. So happy I found this shop.Short story: amazing customer service, very reasonably priced, and super accommodating. There’s a reason they have such good reviews. Vehicle issues and repairs are… stressful for those of us who know nothing about cars. The Knibbe team gave me peace of mind the moment I arrived.Long story: I had a coolant leak, and took it to another shop on a weekend to have it diagnosed and they said the rad was leaking. Since my vehicle is a 2021 with only 40,000km, I had it towed to a Kia dealership hoping it would be covered under warranty. Kia charged me triple to redo the same diagnostic test I’d already had done, then told me nothing would be covered under warranty, and their quote to replace the rad was extremely high.I started the search for a good shop with a better quote. Knibbe is highly recommended in Calgary so I called them, a lot, with many questions. They gave me a great quote, and were very relaxed about arranging a time for me to have my car towed from the Kia dealership to them.I was told by Kia no one makes after market rads for my vehicle. Clearly that wasn’t the case, because Knibbe ordered/received a new rad on Friday, they checked out my vehicle almost as soon as it arrived that afternoon, and the work was completed and I had my car back on Tuesday .After such a stressful experience with Kia and getting 2 tows in one week, the first time I felt like I could relax was when I arrived at Knibbe and talked to the guys in person who had been so helpful over the phone. They made things easy, fielded all of my questions and calls, didn’t rip me off, and had such a welcoming and friendly attitude.Hopefully no more auto problems for a while, but Knibbe will be my first call in the future if the Kia starts to fall apart again. If you need your car diagnosed don’t take it elsewhere, take it here. My car had no start issue. Spent 500 bucks on another shop and they couldn’t fix it. Brought it here and they fix it for same… amount of hours. The shop I brought it first might have even made it worse.Thanks to Shaun and his crew. Labour to have someone fix your car is expensive as well know but you can tell these guys love their job.Another note. The shop I first went into left my car door unlocked. One word that comes to mind with this car shop… INTEGRITY!! We brought our suv in after it went into limp mode. Long story short.. it was in and out a couple times. Very hard to pinpoint what was… wrong. It wasn’t until a mechanic was test driving that it slammed into limp mode once again that he was able to figure it out. It was a short in some wire. They fixed it.But what was the best part?… they refunded money for the second time it was fixed..but wasn’t just yet. They took responsibility and returned money and fixed it! They fixed a sensor in my van. A different shop said the O2 sensor was the issue. Knibbe diagnosed it was actually a fuel sensor. Glad I took it to here instead! Fixed the problem in no time and did… a great job. All the employees are super nice, and a pleasure to deal with. Knibbe’s the best shop in town in my opinion.read more
Can’t thank these guys enough!I’m from out of town and had calibration issues with my modified turbo charger actuator leaving me stuck in Cochrane before the weekend.They took the time to listen… to my issue and despite being double stacked with vehicles and my problem being minor and not one to pay the bills around there they went out of their way to pour me a coffee and performed the relearn procedure between jobs on the go. We had our vehicle towed in for no-start. We had some things we were aware of that were vital repairs. Knibbe got it started and did an estimate. While checking the vehicle they found many more… things that were wrong and the vehicle was not actually road-worthy. Due to the extensive repairs required, we decided to scrap the vehicle. Knibbe reduced our inspection labour charges so that it wasn’t such a burden given the circumstances. We have now replaced our vehicle and will definitely be using Knibbe for maintenance and upkeep of our vehicles from now on!read more
I brought my 2010 Nissan Rogue to Knibbe on a recommendation from a family friend and I couldn’t be happier! I had a bracket in my exhaust that rusted and broke off, and it was making a loud rattling… sound. Dealership quoted me over $1500 to replace a large portion of my exhaust, Knibbe just welded the broken part back on for under $200. They saved me a bunch of money, and saved my old car from an invasive repair. Even though it was a small, inexpensive job, they still treated me like my business was important. Fred got back to me just about 20 minutes after I reached out to schedule and Clayton was lovely to deal with when dropping off. I wish I could remember his name, but the gentleman I spoke to when I picked up my car even waited a few minutes past close for me when I got stuck in rush hour. They don’t talk down to you, even when you don’t know much about cars like myself. Overall, these guys are great and they care about their customers. Originally I had some issues with my truck engine light coming on and staying light on my dash. It had been originally looked at by another automotive shop, but really nothing was done to solve the… issue besides just resetting the computer that would actually come on again even before I left the other shop.I ended up reading a post on Reddit that gave rave reviews to Knibbe Automotive and I ended up scheduling an appointment. Joe the shop manager was very helpful and I was able to get my truck in to get diagnosed to find out the issue.Knibbe Automotive was able to explain the engine light issue and was able to fix the problem (which was a sensor that needed replacing).
